Fully managed VoIP & business phone systems for the Rio Grande Valley
The phone closet is usually the last piece of on-premises hardware left in the office: an aging PBX, a voicemail card nobody can replace and a carrier bill that changes every month. Tech-Net is a fully managed VoIP provider and RingCentral Partner. We replace that closet with a hosted cloud phone system — desk phones, mobile and desktop apps, and the same numbers your customers already call — then design it, install it on-site and manage it for you, with the same local engineers who manage your network.
What is included
A fully managed VoIP provider, not just a phone vendor
Most phone vendors sell you a system and leave you with a login. Tech-Net is a fully managed VoIP provider: we design the call flow, install the phones, port the numbers, train your staff and then keep managing the system month after month. New hire, new extension, holiday greeting, a queue that needs another agent — you call or email our help desk and it is done, Monday through Friday.
Our platform is RingCentral, and as a RingCentral Partner we handle the account, licensing, configuration and support for you. The right setup for a five-person office is different from the right setup for a multi-location practice with a scheduling queue, so we start by reviewing how your business actually uses the phone, then build the plan, users and call flow around that — and explain every choice in plain language.
Replacing an aging on-premises PBX
The phone systems we replace have usually outlived their support: parts are discontinued, the one person who knew how to program it has moved on and changing a greeting means a service call. Every location has its own box, and adding a remote employee means call forwarding and crossed fingers.
A hosted VoIP system moves all of that to the cloud. There is no PBX to maintain, power, back up or replace. Users, extensions, greetings and call routing are managed from a web portal, so a change that used to need a technician visit is a few minutes of work. A desk phone can be unplugged in Brownsville and plugged in at a McAllen office or a home office and it simply works. And if your building loses power or internet, calls keep flowing to the mobile apps, to voicemail or to whatever numbers you choose instead of ringing into a dead line.
Keep your numbers — porting without downtime
Your phone numbers are part of your business, and you keep them. We build and test the entire new system first — users, greetings, call queues, ring groups, business hours — using temporary numbers. Your old system keeps taking calls the whole time. Once everything is verified, we submit the port request to move your local and toll-free numbers, and on the scheduled port date your calls start arriving on the new system. Porting dates are set by the carriers, so we plan around them and we tell you not to cancel the old service until the port is confirmed complete — cancelling early is the most common way businesses lose a number.
The network matters more than the phone
Choppy audio and dropped calls are almost never the fault of the phone system; they are network problems. Before any phone goes on a desk we check the things that decide call quality: internet bandwidth and latency, switch capacity, cabling and the firewall. Then we fix what needs fixing — voice traffic on its own VLAN, quality-of-service (QoS) rules so a large download never competes with a live call, PoE switches so phones need no power bricks, SonicWALL firewall settings tuned for VoIP, and a second internet circuit with automatic ISP failover for offices where the phones cannot go down. This is the same engineering we do in our network design & infrastructure service, and it is the reason we prefer to handle the network and the phones together.
Built for multi-location offices, clinics, law firms and job sites
Multi-location businesses get one phone system across every office, with extension dialing between sites and a single auto attendant or one per location. Clinics and medical offices get call queues for scheduling, after-hours routing to the on-call line and e-fax that arrives as a PDF instead of on a shared tray; we review recording, voicemail and fax handling with you before it is switched on. Law firms get direct numbers for each attorney, call recording where the firm wants it and an app that lets an attorney call from the courthouse while showing the firm number rather than a personal cell. Construction companies get phones in the job-site trailer that run over the same temporary network we build for the project, then move to the next site when the job is finished.
Works with Microsoft Teams
Every Tech-Net client runs on Microsoft 365, so the phones should fit into it. RingCentral integrates with Microsoft Teams so staff can place and receive business calls without leaving the app they already have open all day. For some smaller offices Microsoft Teams Phone is the simpler answer; we deploy both and will tell you honestly which one fits how your office actually uses the phone. See Microsoft 365 management.
Flat, predictable per-user pricing
Hosted VoIP is billed per user, per month, with calling, the apps, voicemail and the auto attendant included in the plan — no per-line charges, no maintenance contract on a PBX and no separate long-distance bill to decode. After the review of your current setup you receive a written quote that lists the monthly per-user cost, any handsets or switches that need to be purchased, which existing equipment can be reused, and a fixed price for installation. Put it next to your current carrier bill and the comparison is easy to make.
